We intend to use an ultrasonic sensor to measure the liquid level of a container, the sensor has a nominal frequency of 40khz with a detection range up to 3m. The heigth of the container will be diferent and it could go from 0.50 up to 2 meters. We want to use a PIC and the chossen family should be conservative priced. The range should be adjustable to adapt the measurement of diferent container sizes, outputs will be 5 leds that will indicate 5- Full, 4- 3/4, 3- 1/2, 2- 1/4 & 1- Empty. If aditional details are needed please advice. The function of the PIC is to send a signal pulse nd then wait ultil it is reflected by the liquid and calculate the distance when it heard back the pulse
