Project Description:

We are having a problem on our website with 301 re-directs and the freezing of some JavaScript functionality provided by Joomla, our content management system. We are looking for a developer who can validate what we believe is the root cause of the problem and to propose a SEO-friendly solution. The developer must be able to explain the cause and proposed solution in non-technical terms in fluent English via email or on Skype or both if necessary.

Very simply, for SEO purposes we want all requests to http://domain.com to redirect to http://www.domain.com If someone links to http://domain.com we want http://www.domain.com to load. If someone types in http://domain.com directly, we want http://www.domain.com to load. However, at present the implementation of a 301 re-direct causes Joomla’s “email this page”, “print this page” and “increase text size” buttons to not function. We have been told the root cause lies with our host, which is BlueHost.com.
