Project Description:

Evergreen System Works would like to create a web based Point-Of-Sale (POS) system which has the following features:
• Easy to deploy completely separate instances without the need for a lengthy turnaround time
• Easy to deploy completely separate instances without the need for a technical resource to perform the setup
• POS interface
o Clients will be able to upload their own logo and set their own colors
o must work with:
 Cash Drawers
 Barcode readers
 Magnetic Credit Card swipe
• E-Commerce interface
o Typical web store front
o Allow for a custom design should the client choose. This will not be an automated design tool, but rather will require a programmer/web designer to complete.
• Track Inventory
• Security features such as:
o Different user types have different access to backend features
o Limit the number of simultaneous logged in users for the POS interface
The POS System will need to allow canned reports (pre-written) that can be added on in the future, therefore a way to propagate code and database changes to all the customers for things like POS version upgrades, features add-ons and reporting enhancements is necessary.
Evergreen System Works needs a way to manage and track the instances of the POS system. Features will include:
• Allow sales people to enter their sales into a system that will automatically create the POS system as described above
• The system will track which sales person signed up which customers to allow for commission based sales.
POS interface will be similar, but will not match exactly with Posterita
POS System inventory tracking will back-end will be osCommerce
POS System will have custom links off the back-end for management of products, customers and reporting.
E-Commerce front-end will be osCommerce. Users will be provided 3 different preformatted designs to choose from. They will also be able to upload their own custom template.

Add On-The management interface which Evergreen System Works employees will use to create and manage the POS website will be based on SugarCRM.
