US Firm Looking for PHP Developer to help maintain PHP App

Project Description:

We have a complex php4/mysql app that runs our internal business process. One of the tools of the app uses PHP and AJAX to take an user CSV inputed file, load it into our system, and then perform some screenscraping to collect results, then the results are dumped into another CSV file which is then downloaded and used. Recently, the tool stopped working and is returning a CSV file with no data. This could be a result of the websites we are scrapping from changing their HTML or something on our side, in either case, we are looking for somebody to quickly diagnose and fix this problem.

Lastly, we would like to form a longterm relationship with succesful candidate to help us with a php4--> php5 migration and ongoing maintenance (such as the above problem). As such, once this project is completed, we would be interested in discussing an ongoing maintenance contract.

We are located in NYC, US, and are looking to fill this contract immediately.

Some additional clarification:

The code works as follows:

It takes a user inputed CVS file, assigns the values to an array, it then builds and http request and passes it to an external site, from there the app scrapes the results from this web site, and then deposits the results into a file which is then used by our sales team.

The current problem is that the file returned is blank, the problem could either be that the input file is malformed for some reason and the request is not being succesfully executed by the web site, or that the web site could have changed and the results being generated are not being "seen" by our code (in this case the regular expressions would have to be updated).

Basically we need to test each area of the code to narrow down where the problem is.
