Our application is similar to u*stream (remove * to read correctly)...Includes 1. broadcaster software 2. Media Server 3. Web Viewer application
Current state of application that will be given: Broadcaster software could be anywhere in the world. Media Server is setup in US. Current application supports HD base profile. It uses about 10% CPU on dual core machine. size of entire application is less than 500kb combined. Please ensure the current characteristics are not affected while fixing the applications.
Todos:
A - Current fps is 3-6. There's no efficient threading implemented in the solution. Also, current time to deliver one frame from broadcaster to viewer is around 450ms. Implement efficient threading model and reduce frame delivery time from 450ms to around 30ms and increase fps to 30fps for HD base profile.
B - Current bandwidth requirement for HD base profile is at 300kbps for 3-6fps...there is no motion estimation/ detection algorithm in current application...so, write motion estimation/ detection algorithm to ensure that max bandwidth remains at 300kbps even for 30fps.
