Fix Wordpress PHP crash with Fresh Installation + SQL

Hello, My site recently crashed with an 'Internal Server Error' for no apparent reason (no plugin updates, installations, wordpress updates, post or page entries, nothing). My hosting company tells me it is a PHP error from a plugin.Since it was an old version of Wordpress, I decided to install the latest version with a new SQL database and try to import the old database into the new installation. I've realized that the learning curve to do this may not be worth my time so hence the project posting here.
This project requires someone experienced in such programs that they can easily step-by-step complete the new installation, re-set the internal links (the old wordpress was installed under /folder1 and the new one is under /folder2 but I would ideally like to preserve the site to the /folder1). I also need my old plugins reactivates, image links checked and also find a plugin to manage my static pages (was using static jack and that seems to have been the plugin that created the crash).
Everything is still running on the same server so all google ads, ico files etc are still intact.
