Project Description:

This is a political/news analysis and commentary website that will have two primary contributors, each with his own page. Each contributor would need a separate auto-archiving blog style posting system with a search feature capable of supporting audio and video embedding. Layout would need to be simple and easy to navigate, feature a strong presence of Navy blue tones with white as a primary backdrop and red accents. The main page would need a auto-scrolling 5 or more photo display that would link back to related articles when clicked (like on the main page of www.erau.edu/pr and like http://lens.blogs.nytimes.com/), it would also need a RSS fed (that is auto-updating) news feed pulling in national top stories and linking back to the articles. The main page will also be a jumping board for the most recent posts from each contributor, as they write new additions the most recent 5-7 would need to be displayed in descending order at the bottom of the page, with the most recent contributors post at the top. There would need to be a page for a "how-to" section and a page for history articles. These pages will feature content generated by itsjustathought.org and uploaded as published. A navigation bar will need to be fixed and prominent on all pages so that browsers can maneuver around the entire site easily. There needs to be an ability for readers to "share" content via social networks such as twitter and facebook, etc. A "contact us" section would need a web-based email form that users could use to provide comments, tips, etc. This system would need to be captcha locked to prevent spam and auto-submission.

A logo will need to be created that will be featured prominently at the top left of every page as a part of the navigation bar utilizing the itsjustathought.org colors. A news industry style logo featuring the American style eagle (Seal of the President, etc).

itsjustathought.org would need all files, will arrange their own hosting, and has ownership of the domain. This is a one time contract that has potential for recurring business as larger updates and company expansion warrant necessary. This is the initial start up and development phase.

Bidders would need to provide real world portfolio of website they have developed that showcases their skills and are currently online and functioning in addition to 3 references. Concept, design, and publication would need to be completed NO LATER THAN December of 2010, an accelerated time table would be appreciated.
