We are a start up looking to outsource a project that involves the following technologies:Linux (red hat 9)
Linux utilities (WGET and maybe more)
Apache 2.0
Mod_perl 2.0
Perl modules (LWP, Apache::request, XML::Simple, WWW::Mechanize)
Template Toolkit
XML
We are looking for someone who can devote 30 hours a week for the next one and half month. We want this project to start NOW/ASAP.
Please note we are not interested in outsourcing firms unless your price is as competitive as individuals.

04/22/2004 at 23:01 EDT:those who like to use PHP also welcome to bid. We chose Perl in the first place because it offers more existing modules and utilities, thus reduce the development time. We are open to PHP, however, if your quality and price are competitive to those who choose Perl. We will also need to evaluate PHP's performance on parallism (fork) over mod_perl 2.0.

I'm a senior Perl programmer with 10 years of development experience in Linux.
I have worked with all the technologies you have mentioned, mostly on projects that collect information from the web for use in data driven applications.
I have several Perl modules to get web pages, convert them to XML and reformat the data to be put into a database. I will provide the source code to these as part of the project. This will speed up your development time and allow me to focus on business functionality, not infrastructure.
I will provide you with week status reports outlining what has been completed, what is in progress and what needs to be done.
Each module I create will have a test script that will ensure that each function works as required, and that future enhancements will not introduce new bugs into already working code.
