VLC to stream WMV9 encoded stream
Project ID:

Project Type:
Fixed
Budget:
$30-$250 USD
Project Description:
Hello, I need to make VLC to stream from PCI TV card analog input to Windows Media Server (W2k3 server), and since client is a hardware device it needs to be encoded in WMV9 video codec. Working stream can be viewed at http://www.dijasporatv.com. It should look somewhat like :
"C:Program FilesVideoLANVLCvlc.exe" -vvv mms://tvserver2.serveftp.org/st1 --sout '#standard{access=mms,mux=asf,dst=192.168.71.3:8080}'
The screenshot of the working Windows Media Encoder settings are attached.
The reason for switching from WME to VLC is because WME doesnt work with BDA type driver - only works with WDM, that is becoming obsolete now.

Just a note, example I've shown is producing an error, saying that codec WMV3 does not exists, but on the same machine WME works happily...
