Greetings, ericthelight
We are a small software house based in Romania, specializing in graphic and web design/development, corporate identity, software development, experienced with Photoshop, Illustrator, Paint Shop Pro, Image Ready, Dreamweaver, HTML coding, javascript.
We visited
the MurphyBleachers.com web site and have a few ideas about how it could be improved to look more professional, expensive, eye-catching. But first, we have some questions befor begining to work on a personalized samle for this site:
1. Do you want to keep the header? (is that part of the
logo?)
2. It is a good idea to have frames because you always have the header and logo on top, nomatter how much you scroll, but we would suggest 2 frames instead of 3, because the bottom frame (the one with copyright) is not as important for the visitor as one might think (everyone knows
that these info appear at the bottom at the site and expects to find it there, so why bother him/her with seeing it all the time? Don't get this wrong, it is important info, but not where it is right now)
3. What about the programming? Do you want just the graphic design of the pages and HTML
code, or you need the programming too (for the newsletter, chat, forum, chart).
4. If you need just the graphics and HTML files, we can provide you with samples and THML code (in Dreamweaver) for each page. But if you need the programming too, we would need more info on this, because we can
help you with this part too. Let us know please.
5. About the design:
a) we think of a more appropriate color scheme, more accordingly to the logo.
b) the menu is a little unpleasant to use (you have a menu and a submenu). We have 2 suggestions: one, we make the submenu appear in the
same place but only on mouseover instead of on click; two, we could put the submenu in the middle frame, in the left side, to always have on the screen, and to be more easy and attracive to use.
c) by the way, it is ugly, on the Bulletin Board page to have the top frame at a fixed width (800),
and the middle frame (with the forum) resizable (at 1024 or higher); there should be found an appealing solution for the visitro - whether both fixed at 800, whether both resizable at any screen resolution.
d) we believe it should be a good idea to have on every page (not only on homepage) info
about upcoming events, specials, the day's baseball schedule.
Please give us a feedback so that we can star working on a personalized sample for this site.
Thank you for you time,
CloverTECH staff.
