Hi All,
I will like to design an Ecommerce website for my proposed new business which will be selling Paintings and Art crafts Online.
Below mentioned are features that will be required, however this is not an exhaustive or final list. It is open to amendments, revision, recommendations and your suggestions.
Features
Easy to use shopping basket so that your customers can buy online with confidence.
Setting up online secure payment using Visa, MasterCard, Amex, WorldPay and/or PayPal.
The ability to temporarily discount products, with the original price crossed out and replaced by the sale price.
Fast product searching so customers can find the products they want.
The ability to list a product under several categories.
Ecommerce website designed to be indexed by Search Engines and optimised to improve the ranking of website, so that site is listed higher in Google, AltaVista, Yahoo, etc.
Easy to use PC based administration software for maintaining the product database
Static Pages
Website will consist of up to 7 static pages, with the following suggested structure.

Home page – attractive graphic and a little text for indexing by search engines.
About us – information about your expertise / history / reliability.
Products - This will link to your product database.
How to Order – Guidelines of how to shop on your site
Customer information / Terms & Conditions
Links – Add links to your suppliers and other related web sites
Contact page including contact form
Shopping Facility
The web site will have dynamic pages for displaying your products, for searching for products, and an easy to use shopping basket (really an automated order form) for purchasing items. When the user has purchased all the item wanted s/he presses the "Check out" button to enter the delivery address and credit card details.
Credit Card Acceptance Facility
Payment transactions handled 100% electronically using the services of the following online payment companies - Visa, MasterCard, Amex, WorldPay or PayPal.
Additional Features
Purchase order should trigger email to a minimum of 3 mailboxes and send text messages to a minimum of 3 mobiles (this setting should be configurable).
