Dear Expert Freelancer,I have 3 audios from teleseminars I conducted with healthcare providers that need to be transcribed.
I need someone with excellent English to transcribe them to Microsoft Word (2004 version) with supplied headers and footers and formatting that allows for speaker identification (there are 2 speakers)
Knowledge of medical terminology would be a plus as these are teleseminars with healthcare experts. Must have penchant for utmost accuracy and precision.
Requires some amount of discretion to leave out false starts, speaker hesitations like ums and ahs. However, this doesn't mean be creative and paraphrase. I need direct transcriptions of what the speaker says, not just the general idea of what was said.
The audio is in mp3 format (about an hour each), and is good quality.
I will make payment for each one as it is done by GAF escrow. I'm currently looking for someone who can continue do do these projects for me in the future. As such, your first completed project will determine my rewarding the remainder of my projects thereafter.
My maximum budget for one transcription per 1 hour audio is $60. Listed below are some questions I'd like addressed in your bid:
1. how quick is your turn around? (from acceptance of bid to project completion)
2. What sort of similar experience have you had?
3. Will any revisions be included in your bid?
Upon bidding, I may ask a few of you submit a sample transcription of a typical 10 minute audio following the guidelines indicated. Your decision to work on this trial audio will not be paid. However, without a sampling of your work, rewarding this project may be highly unlikely.

Hello,
Could I have the test file sent over please so I can hear the quality of the audio.
If the audio is clear then I am happy to undertake your project and can turn it round within a day or two.
I have previously undertaken transcription work for focus groups, solicitors and estate agents so I am qualified in this type of work.
Qualifications include O Levels in English Language and English Literature and I was educated and born in the United Kingdom.

I am a medical transcription professional with more than 5 years of experience. I am interested in your project and willing to bid for it. Since I am used to the medical transcription service provider's line count based rate structures, I am not a good judge in estimating the cost for hour based jobs. However, I feel your estimate of $60 per 1 hour of audio sounds very attractive to me. I have worked with best MTSOs and currently working for a large organization.
