Project Description:
1/ We several 3D rooms / objects created in Blender (Blender.org etc), like http://www.blender.org/typo3temp/pics/1215f95f9c.jpg but simpler
2/ We want to superimpose an image (PNG or JPG) on to the surface of an object in the room (eg as a poster), and then render the whole view (from a pre-defined camera angle) in Blender.
3/ We want to take the same view, but render it many times with DIFFERENT PNG files superimposed on the same area within the original blender scene. We would like the whole process of feeding in a different PNG source file and receiving the output file to be automated. Ideally, we'd have a linux script setup where we just feed in the source file via a command line parameter, and get an output file shortly afterwards. We'd like to treat the system as a 'black box', so we can just feed in source PNG files and get PNG files out showing the original file in 3D.
4/ The desired output format is PNG, but we'd (long term) like the option to output a short video clip as well as a single view PNG. The video clip would consist of the blender 'view' moving along a pre-defined path through the 3D scene. However, this is not essential for the key job.
There would be several fairly simple scenes to render, and the job is available for immediate start.
