Transfer a static website to MODx CMS
Project ID:
623640
Project Type:
Fixed
Budget:
$30-$250 USD
Project Description:
There are about 200 pages in this static website. There is a flash in the header, just for decorating. There are ~6 web forms but it a pretty basic site. There is a jquery image gallery which will need copied into MODx too.
- The website will be robots-friendly and SEO-friendly (obviously, it means all the right stuff like human-friendly URLs, unique titles and metas, etc.)
- We would like to consolidate JS/Jquery files from the old website into a single file on in the new CMS
- Price will include support during publishing the website
- Current website is in a MySQL database so you might be able to extract to save some copy and paste work
- Transferred website must display perfectly on all web browsers
- Hosting is cpanel
Please provide URLs of MODx websites you've made. Please don't bid if you can't do that.
Thanks!
Skills required:

I am leaving this message to warn you about someone who bid on this project (Onenonly) Abdullah.
Abdullah was contracted by my website over a month ago (we paid half up from for project).
Not only did Abdullah fail to deliver the project at 100% he never came close to a deadline. He
also randomly disappeared
from communication.
After finally getting in contact with Adbullah (a month after awarding him a job he promised in 7-10 days) He demanded the
remaining balance before delivering full product (which was not our agreement). He claimed multiple
"emergencies" to explain
his absence but we saw him actively bidding on other projects during this time. He also jacked up the price from what we originally discussed
After losing communication we started receiving errors on our website. Abdullah had been hacking into our
site and causing errors that
would make our site damaged. He then emailed us demanding money to stop.
This is email:
Name: Abdullah Yousafzai
Inquiry: General Inquiry
Message: Hello 518,
I am the developer who work on your website i just came to know that your site
is down. and this is because of me i have demanded for the money from the person who gave me the project he then told me you have not paid the money to him as a result he has blocked your site i understand your situation what you will be thinking of but if you like me to work for you i will offer my
services at a very reasonable price
Abdullah wanted us to pay him for a project he never completed or even came close to completing. We are confident he would have taken the money and run.
Avoid this person in your bid selection!! He will be extremely late (if he
delivers the project at all) and is not above blackmailing or extorting money.
Hope this helps

Hi There,
I had a couple a few questions about your project.
1. When you say you have 200 pages, how many of those pages are using a different template?
2. Also does the current website display perfectly in all browsers right now?
3. Can I have a link to your existing
site?
Here are some MODx sites I have built http://nimmp.com http://kevinlewiscarvings.ca and http://cluttersdirtysecret.com. Here is a link to an application I made to an existing site http://trager.com/training . I dropped in a MODx site into their static site (I did not build the site) so
they could have their members log in and add training courses by filling out a form. The courses were then added to the custom search feature I also made.
