This sounds like it's just down my alley! I am a life long mac user, so having expertise and dexterity with iTunes is no challenge. Also, I've long since wanted to do some sort of radio show, and although this isn't quite that, it's similar. I'm not of the LBGT community personally but I am an avid supporter, and have many LBGT friends. It's strange that you should mention that in the job blurb though. I'm excited and hope I get this job regardless of the context, but what is the show about? less

There are 4 of us based in Dallas. 3 guys and 1 female voice talent. You can pick week by week if you prefer a male or female interviewer. If Skype is used we have a 25mb up and down Internet connection that totally rocks! We are a reliable company and your project got my interest so I am bidding for the work. We have a studio room for this type of thing. We do not have feedback yet as a provider however so please do not let that alone make you choose someone else. Thanks for your consideration. David less

Blatant self-promotion ahead: I’m gregarious, intelligent and have a great sense of humor (and I’m a lot humbler than I appear thus far). I have a voice for radio and a face to match (see, I told you). I was once introduced before a speech to 2,000 people in Orlando as a “true renaissance man.” Though it could easily have been a wisecrack about my age, in this case it was in reference to my broad and varied background that includes, among other things, the following: National Lampoon columnist, magazine publisher & editor, former co-host of a 2-hour nationally syndicated talk show, currently have two books from major publishing houses (Simon & Schuster is one of them) selling in bookstores and on Amazon.com. I’ve starred in local TV and radio commercials and was even an extra on Rocky V (which is absolutely meaningless but I’ve never had a chance before this to get any mileage out of it) and was a guest for a 20-minute segment on a TV talk show (which led to the co-hosting gig mentioned earlier when the producer saw me and must have felt his show’s ratings weren’t already low enough). I’ve won numerous awards for graphic design, Web design, writing and photography, including six William Randolph Hearst journalism awards (4 for photojournalism and two for writing). I’m also a well- know photojournalist who has had work featured worldwide, including the following: The New York Times, USA Today, Sports Illustrated, Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor, Miami Herald - and on the Web sites of CNN, ABC News, MSNBC, CBS News, and many others. I’ve done several interviews with celebrities such as Bob Newhart & Trisha Yearwood and interviewed a diverse cross section of people from a U.S. congressman to a Ku Klux Klan husband & wife to a famous nuclear physicist. My interviews have received wide acclaim and the one thing most critics have pointed to is my ability to adapt to my interview subject regardless of their level of sophistication or political views. A good indication of that ability can be found in my Trisha Yearwood interview: http://gatorphoto.com/gatorbytes/interviews/trisha_yearwood.htm I had three days to prepare and had never heard her sing and knew nothing about her. That was done in 1995 before the luxury of the Internet for research but thanks to some borrowed CDs and the local library, nobody, including Trisha, was able to tell. (My Bob Newhart interview is here: http://gatorphoto.com/gatorbytes/interviews/bob_newhart.htm) A lot of things go into a great interview, but I believe, despite what Larry King says, it all begins with research. It takes time and work, but as you start to learn things about your subject (or something they are associated with) you start to have questions of your own and if they are something that can’t be easily answered, the odds are good it will make for an interesting question and a more interesting response. It’s also important for a recorded interview to sound more like a conversation than a Q & A. The listener may be only be a “fly on the wall,” but you have to involve them by evoking an emotional response (laughter often being the easiest). My resume is here: http://gatorphoto.com/resume.htm. The site is quite antiquated as I set it up when I went back to school in the late 1990s as a way to gather some samples of my work. I had bigger plans for the site but never had the time to do anything and it has remained untouched except for some textual updates. Because it focused on my return to college, the resume doesn’t cover prior to the mid 1990s. If you’d like to see some older samples of some of my humor, just follow the link at the bottom. Some of my other stuff, such as my celebrity interviews can be accessed via the GatorBytes link and the photography is self-explanatory. If you have any further questions or would like additional samples please let me know. You might wonder why I am seeking an assignment like this and offering to do it for so little. It’s because, though I wasn’t even 50 yet, I had a stroke a couple years ago and I’m under doctors orders to reduce my stress for a while (I tend to be a workaholic). I’m fortunate that I need very little money to live on so I decided to try lining up some work through the Freelancer site. Your job posting leaped out at me. That’s probably not such a good thing for someone with a history of strokes, lol, but I survived it and realized something like this would be perfect for me. It won’t make me rich, but it will be a lot of fun. If you choose me, I promise you will be very happy with the incredible value you’ll get for your money.  less
