Project Description:

Need C code to perform the following operations:

1) Digitize an analog voltage input using a micro-controller and perform FFT operation
2) Transmit data wirelessly to a PC
3) Display continuously digitized waveforms on a PC in real time – e.g. display a frequency distribution

There will be some leeway in the hardware and software used. Micro-controller will likely be in the TI MPS430 family. Need a programmer who can put together a hardware and software visualization package (preferably an open sourced display program) as efficiently as possible.

    I think we can implement a solution by using an embedded DFT board with an A/D convertor. The wireless can be implemented using an RF transreceiver. We shall provide u the BOM details and you can provide us the materials.

    This project can be done using COTS equipment. If you fetch (query) voltage measurement from a wireless AOI, FFT can be performed and results could communicated to user by custom SW running on PC. For free, I could create your system specification. Afterward, you can hire a developer to produce your software. I suggest you hire a LabVIEW developer. This project is perfect for LabVIEW. IHTH.

I worked for a Company that develops medical devices. The system that I worked montors the vitals (eg: Respiration) of the patient and transfers the data wirelessly to the PC. The PC then shows the respiration in a scrolling graph. The Respiration has to go through an algorithm (for filtering and rate calculation) in the embedded micro controller before transfering the data wirelessly to the PC. I have even tried to use TI's MSP430 on the same project to evaluate if it is any quicker than the micro-controller I have been using.
