Description

Need C code to perform the following operations:

1) Digitize an analog voltage input using a micro-controller and perform FFT operation
2) Transmit data wirelessly to a PC
3) Display continuously digitized waveforms on a PC in real time – e.g. display a frequency distribution

There will be some leeway in the hardware and software used. Micro-controller will likely be in the TI MPS430 family. Need a programmer who can put together a hardware and software visualization package (preferably an open sourced display program) as efficiently as possible.

Hi, I have done a lot of data loggers project based on microcontroller and having interfacing with PC. We expertise in TI MSP430, microchip, atmel and microsoft visual studio. We can use Nordic NRF series wireless devices. We can communicate upto 100mtrs. What is the maximum bandwidth of the signal to be digitized? I also have worked with ethernet enabled microcontrollers that can be a plus for end customer control. They can access an embedded webserver to modify system parameters. I can provide you with source code, firmware, gerber files, BOM, etc. We can discuss details when you want. I haved built many microcontroller based devices, like an RFID based vehicle tracking system with embedded GSM modem to send data to a server over the Internet, a GPS device with GSM, a house lights controller via IP. a vending machine controller, etc. Please do not hesitate to ask any question. Dear Flevin, For completion you will need two pcbs and a software code, 1)transmitter 2)receiver and 3)Sofware part for display on PC. Do you need all three? I hope you will. An idea about coverage range? Distubance of envronment? What is the delay level accepted? ... I have already done with the transmitter section using msp430f149. And prefer lpc2148 for reception and usb connectivity wiht PC. What is it you need? C code alone?... For transmitter, Receiver and Front-end? Or PCBs Schematic layouts ......?? Please clarify. Then only we can talk about time frame. Bu will not exceed 60-70 days if at all wiht PCBs...

I worked for a Company that develops medical devices. The system that I worked montors the vitals (eg: Respiration) of the patient and transfers the data wirelessly to the PC. The PC then shows the respiration in a scrolling graph. The Respiration has to go through an algorithm (for filtering and rate calculation) in the embedded micro controller before transfering the data wirelessly to the PC. I have even tried to use TI's MSP430 on the same project to evaluate if it is any quicker than the micro-controller I have been using. I would suggest AVR32 microcontroller as it has its signal processing library and ADC. FFT can be viewed in a window application written in C# and can be further saved and charted in Excel sheet if you want to. Other suggestion would be using the LabView for the purpose of displaying data.
