We’re looking for someone that can do some advanced Jasper Server/ Java programming for a project we are currently working on. We will be content with one of the two solutions listed below. Problem: We need to be able to export the raw data that created the report to excel or csv. Jasper currently still groups, sorts, manipulates the data that is returned from sql. Our requirement is to have a simple csv file with column headings and the data generated from the SQL statement in the report. Challenges: Our goal is not manipulate the design of the reports but rather create functionality to produce our solution. Based on the Jasper forums its our understanding that you can’t capture the SQL statement used to run the report (we would place this in a link to a page that would easily produce the CSV). However, we believe there is a way to see the query but none of my staff java well enough to figure this out. Solutions: A) Figure out how to have the SQL statement print on the report – this is the executed statement – we don’t want to modify the reports to have the query in a parameter and that be based to the report. B) A custom export function written that interfaces just like the current excel/csv export functionality but that will output the raw data from the SQL return with column headings. We’re looking for a solution to this ASAP. We can provide some examples of what we have already tried and will provide the jasper server (community edition) to test on. Payment options can be discuss but will only pay for a working solution. |
