The advertising campaign will begin once the hiring process is finished. I hope for this process to be finished in a week so that I can begin the advertising campaign for November, and then prepare for another campaign in December when I receive my checks that is due to me from MaxOnline and CasaleMedia. We have 4,488 register members at our discussion forum, do remember the main website is not online. This website will became very popular once 2.0 is online.
I am looking for individuals who have good grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills. We require that some of the news you post will be written in your own words.
Here is an example of rewriting a story:
Original:
This year, the MTV Video Music Awards are hitting the road.
For the first time in the show's history, the VMAs will not be staged in New York or Los Angeles. Instead, the 2004 VMAs will be handed out at Miami's American Airlines Arena on Sunday, August 29, the channel announced on Friday (April 16).
"I am extremely pleased that Miami has been chosen to host the 2004 Video Music Awards," Miami Mayor Manny Diaz said of the decision. "In our discussions with MTV, we made it known that our location, weather and amenities make us a natural and logical choice."
The decision to brave South Florida's heat and humidity during the height of summer is a landmark moment for the Video Music Awards and the Moonmen doled out during the ceremony. The show has bounced between coasts throughout its 20-year history, with all past VMAs staged in Los Angeles or New York. Last year's proceedings were held at the Big Apple's Radio City Music Hall, one of the Moonman's favorite haunts.
Revised:
The 2004 MTV Video Music Awards will take place in Miami, FL this year at the American Airlines Arena. This marks the first time ever the show will not be held in New York or Los Angeles.
"I am extremely pleased that Miami has been chosen to host the 2004 Video Music Awards," Miami Mayor Manny Diaz said of the decision. "In our discussions with MTV, we made it known that our location, weather and amenities make us a natural and logical choice."
Although we do not require our writers to publish a certain amount of articles per week, please do not contact me regarding a position if you are not going to be active with the website.
None of the positions will require a lot of time. The positions that will take the most time will be Video Game Reviewer and Sports Columnist. The rest of the positions should take no more then 30 minutes a day. Some of the positions are VERY easy. Perfect example, World Editor. All of the political and world news comes from the Associated Press. This position requires no rewriting at all. The same goes for Sports Editor. If working in the Sports section there will be few articles you will be able to rewrite, but 90% of the information online you should not rewrite.
I would love to have a team of writers who are passionate about the category they are working in. Meaning if you are a video game editor, you should love to play video games and visit video game websites often. This way you will not become bored with your position. If you want to become a Movie Editor and you are not into movies, you will quickly become bored with posting movie news. Pick a position that fits you the most.
All positions are non-paying. We will allow you to link to your website on the bottom of your articles. You CAN sell that advertising space to make yourself money. No other advertising methods are allowed in the articles. You are only allowed to link to a website at the bottom of each news article. This does mean you choose your own pay. The more articles you post, the more money you can make. The better your marketing skills are, the more money you can make. I will be explaining this more upon your hiring.
