Project Description:

We have a group of academic institutions and want to build the following application.

Each college will have a desktop application that enables

1. College administration to create student records, create course structures 2. College administration to enter data and retreive student recrods through various search and filter commands 3. College administration to batch upload the data in to a central web server. The desktop application must get connected to the server and upload the data. Then all the data that is added recently gets uploaded to the server

A centralized web based database that enables

1. Desktop applications from various colleges to upload the data 2. Allow students and parents from various colleges to access their data through a password and user name 3. Send automatic rule based emails from college to parents based on performance, attendance etc.

The desktop application must run in VB.net/access or any other program that works on Windows. The web application must be in Php/MySQL and work on Windows and Linux.

This should be sufficient to provide initial quote and time line estimates. I will give a detailed description after finalizing the pro.
