Project Description:

We have a number of small pc’s 3 Ghz Pentium P4 machines with
XFX nVIDIA GeForce FX5700 Video Card running WindowsXP

We are using these to play back High Definition WMV files using DirectX

We need to be able to move seamlessly from one file playing to another.

(that means we want the transition from one file to another to be like a cut, as in film or video or a cross dissolve. We don’t want to see any black or white in between, just a clean transition)

What I need is an application like this:


Application plays 720p WMV files in full screen mode.

You can switch between files by pressing keys on the keyboard.

If you press A the first file starts to play
If you press B the second file starts to play
If you press C the third file starts to play

The transition between files is smooth as described above. Delay between pressing the key and the file starting to play not more than half a second (on 3Ghz P4).

If possible I would like the program to be written in VB6 using DirectX. (If this is not possible we can use .net, C++ or C# but preferably Microsoft development environments)

We need the application and source plus instructions on how to compile the application and what tools have to be installed.
