READ THIS FULLY BEFORE REPLYINGWe are currently looking for a copywriter to write product descriptions for approximately 800 new products for our GourmetFoodStore.com website. GourmetFoodStore.com is an online retailer of high end specialty food products.
The purpose of the product descriptions is to both stimulate customers to buy the item and provide useful/interesting information about the item. Product descriptions can include an overview of the product, how to use the item, what the item works well with, taste, texture, special facts, historical information on the item or manufacturer, special information about how/where it is produced, what makes the product unique in comparison to similar items. Product descriptions would include both a long product description of approximately 2 - 4 paragraphs, and a short description of 100 characters or less.
HOW TO APPLY
1) To apply, you will need to provide us with sample product descriptions for 3 items of ours. 2 of the items we have pictures of that you can download at:
http://www.gourmetfoodstore.com/gfs-content.zip
The 3rd item we need a description of is the cheese Burrata, manufactured by Angelo & Franco in the USA.
We will not consider any applications that do not provide us with sample descriptions for these three items.
2) Please provide a cost for developing the short and long descriptions for 800 products.
3) Additionally please provide a resume for our review, however keep in mind that what will make us choose you is the sample content you provide for the above 3 items.

May I inquire as to your timeframe for awarding this bid?
My editorial partner and I remain highly intrigued with this project. It is quite compelling and we are convinced you would be more than delighted with the work we deliver should you choose to award it to us.
But September typically brings a significant uptick in business for us. And we are becoming modestly concerned that your delay in awarding it (three weeks to-date) might affect our delivery timeframe if you choose us.
