Project Description:

Create scaleable models of office furniture and office equipment for use in 3D CAD software (see below).

We want to have scale models of furniture "Objects" that we can drag and drop into office floor plans, for designing and sales. 2D for planning, and 3D for visualization and sales.

We are expecting to receive a "Library" of Objects that we can drag and drop into 3D Home Architect (www.3dhaonline.com/home_landscape_suite_v9.htm) and Google SketchUp (http://sketchup.google.com/)

Each individual component is an "Object". For each Object we will provide 2 or 3 color photographs similar to the attached. However the photos we provide to you will be carefully "posed" so that you will see at least 3 sides of every Object.

We will give each Component a unique Name. We will provide the measurements for each Component: height, width, and depth. Where an Object has components, such as drawers, shelves, or sections, we will provide measurements of all of these. There are between 20 and 30 different Objects.

Objects should portray details such as number of drawers or shelves, and the approximate thickness of surfaces. Surfaces should be wood colored as shown in the photographs, and sides should be gray, also as shown.

You can ask for additional photographs or measurements after the project starts, we we would respond in one day.

(If you want to tell us about an easy-to-use floor plan 3D software CAD program that we should use instead of 3D Home Architect version 9, please feel free).

    I use Pro-Engineer, which enables use of parametrics, i.e. once you have created one model, you can create subsequent sizes in a few seconds, as well as the drawings. How much detail of the joints/draws are required?

    I would bid $100 for the nine drawings required, but I am unavailable until Thursday.

    Not sure number of distinct pieces of furniture, but most share 75% of the attributes. See PDF of photos of furniture in our warehouse. Many flat walls, round tables but different diameters, drawers teh same but pieces have different numbers.

A lead penciler, inker and digital colorist, concept artist and character designer in traditional media and computer graphics and rendering.
