Project Description:
The brief is simple but precise, you will be given a UK region (such as Tunbridge Wells) and then be asked to reproduce a map similar to the version Google maps produces when you are zoomed in to a detail of 2000 ft (zoomed in to roughly 80%, you can tell by the legend in the bottom left hand corner). Either as a radius of at least 1.5 miles from the point given or as 4 square miles with the city centre as the centre point. We require the map as a road outline (black and white line drawing). Furthermore we would require the map in either adobe illustrator or corel draw format (vector format only!) so that it is editable and can be zoomed into without any loss of quality.The finished vector map would be used as part of a new business startup marketing project and, if produced to a quality standard and business expands as much as perceived, will create a constant flow of work for the candidate who undertakes the project (should they desire) i.e. we would hope that once the initial testing period is over we would require anywhere up to another 100.
Any candidate wishing to quote must be prepared to produce a small sample (any small UK village/area of their choice) just to ensure that they understand exactly what has been asked for. Also please quote for the map without road names, and if possible quote for the map with road names as a separate message.
