Project Description:

We are looking to add a layaway feature to our Volusion store. We are not interested in the eLayaway.com option or Layaway.com. We would like it to be a payment option within our store so at checkout, a customer can select the payment option “layaway”.

The system would bring up a screen asking for the number of installments the customer would like and the timing of the installment (weekly biweekly monthly). The system would calculate the payment amount based on total due including shipping and handling divided by the total number of payments and then proceed to checkout for the first payment.

The system would need to notify us of the deposit made and balance due. It would also need to track all outstanding payments and notify us of all completed layaways when they are paid off and ready to ship. It cannot generate paid in fulls when the initial payment is made.

We have tried to do this through the recurring billing within volusion however it fails to do what we need due to the fact that each payment comes across as a completed sale.
