I started at Hirschmann Netherlands as an intern, working on a shadow project to add network support on the CSE 2000 satellite receiver station. The project went well and delivered a slightly amateurish, but working, product.<br /><br />The main project didn't go so well. Bean IT was my first job as software developer. I worked on many Access database solutions. We started out using VBA to add special features. This gave Bean IT a cutting edge above the competitors.<br /><br />We ended up making VBA the core of the projects with a MySQL backend and using Access mainly as a form builder. In the end we decided to leave Access completely and make the application web-based using PHP.
