Once cited in the 'Courier Mail' as an “adrenaline fueled entrepreneur,” Kevin O'Hara has literally built his entire executive career on that definition. A high energy, fiscally conscious, and goal-driven consultancy and environmental management executive, Kevin O'Hara approaches each new business challenge with his intrinsic flair for innovation, creative problem-solving, and measured risk-taking to drive consistent bottom-line improvements and shareholder returns.
Kevin O'Hara began his career on a path that is rare among other management executives. Having earned his Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from one of the nation’s top universities, and armed with his experience in the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Kevin’s goal was to complement his analytical abilities with a strong foundation in business and finance. The best way to do this, he felt, was to join a reputable and respected firm within the environmental industry. Thus, in the weeks after graduation he accepted his first position with SKD, where he gained extensive public and private consulting experience.
On the partner track at age 22, Kevin found himself intrigued by the “world” of the private developers and mining executives he interfaced with daily. Thus, when offered a position with Babcock and Brown's most recent renewable energy acquisition from Stanwell Corporation - Rocky Point Green Power, Kevin jumped at the chance to apply his management, information technology, and process automation skills to a large scale energy provider.
More recently, as Managing Director (Asia / Pacific) of 'The OCTIEF Group', Director of Plasma Holdings, and Non-Executive Director of Propa Energy Solutions, Kevin has become deeply involved in driving both acquisition and organic growth strategies as a member of the executive team, and has grown the company three-fold to recognition as one of the fastest growing mining and environmental consultancy firms in Australia.
