• site redesign / script install / automated video compression

  We have an almost complete HD video clip site with the following needs:- when users upload their high definition video clips, the site is supposed to automatically convert the uploaded h264 quicktime file into a preview movie and a poster frame thumbnail. We currently have ffmpeg doing this but it fails with mysterious crashes most of the time. We either need this ffmpeg implementation working, or if the developer is better with MEncoder, we're happy for that to be used instead. either way, it needs to be automated and working flawlessly.- a facelift/redesign: the site is functional but ugly. we have photoshop documents of the new look and simply need it implemented, with some very small cosmetic functionality additions possibly requiring a bit of javascript. The site is a very simple video clip sales site. Feel free to explore the existing site to get an idea of how much work the facelift will represent: http://www.hdmotherlode.com- an upload progress bar: currently the upload process has a progress bar that does not work. We would like the developer to implement into our system/pipeline the progress bar made by these folks: http://www.sibsoft.net/xupload.html or something else similar if the developer knows of a better solution.   I have an existing site: www.best5everything.com however there are certain parts of it for which I want to improve the visual design. You must both do the design and edit/create the html/css to create the design.important: please can you send me a sample of how you would improve any one of the items from the list below. Please send an image of how you would improve it.The parts I want the design improved for are as follows:home page:- The step 1, 2, 3 graphic should be separated a little more from the next graphic below it. The learn more link should be styled - The 'Recently Created Lists' section needs to be better designed. The 'best 5' icon is too tall causing too much white space. I am thinking of increasing the number of lists shown to 10 (and lengthening the page). Also the header 'recently created lists' doesn't look very goodsitewide:- The main menu panel has a border at the top and bottom but none to the left or right, this makes it look a little unfinished. A slight gradient on the menu background & subtle drop shadow could lift the menu slightly also.- The search box and search button should be styled & have some padding on the text box.- add some kind of light border or glow or dropshadow around the white content area of every page- redesign footer (keep exactly same content)create a list:- Padding is needed for the text fields and the font that is being typed needs to be styled.- The column on the RHS with the instructions needs a lighter background, it should be smaller in font with more line-spacing. The text is a bit overpowering. Some subtly shaded background with nicely laid out points would really lighten this page.
