I am willing to pay $200 for this. Do not bid any other amount. It must be done in 2 days. Idea: create a web-site that students can use to a) find out who else is interning in their city/town for the summer, b) link up with those people to secure housing together, and c) find housing offers approved by other students (i.e. a harvard student who's best friend is subletting a place in San Francisco can post it on the cite--a kind of custom, restricted craigslist/AirB&B).So, these are the features I was thinking:Home-page:a) logo/name 'SummerInternHousingLocator'. A brief description of how the site works. a pretty photo, and a log-in button.b) students can log-in/register only with a harvard ID (or harvard email for now). i) create a profile with Name, location for the summer (by city and zip code), school (law school, college, HBS (drop down menu), dates when they are looking for housing (when to when--schedule), and budget (500 a month to 2000 a month). iii) Questions to test rooming compatibility (bed time, messy/neat, watch how much TV, like board games, videogames, dietary restrictions, etc. We'll refine this over time, but if we get a reasonably functional version of it up front--with expandability--i.e. we can assign more fields with more point values--and then get a way of comparing--say, the numbers change into a percentage at the end of the whole--then we'd have a really solid going forward project.c) after students enter zip code/state, they get a list of cities in a drop-down menu, and they choose their city. (they can create a new place if the city isn't already in our database).MAIN PAGE (after you log-in): 1) search for housing or offer housing 2) see where harvard students are living 3) search for a student (you can see where a specific student is going to be that summer if they've created a profile), d) City/Town pages:i) See a list of who else is going to be there this summer. The top of the list is 'looking for housing:' then, there's a list of students who have 'found housing.' Both lists just includes the names and schools (law, business, etc.) of the other students, as well as the students' e-mail addresses. A heading reminds students to change their profiles to 'found housing' when they've found it--or we will be angry. ii) We want the 'found housing' list as well--because this site will double as a hub for social networking throughout the summer. iii) Social page: this feature will allow people in a given city to post harvard-themed events throughout the summer: 'What?' 'When?' 'Where?'--and the event sends an event e-mail announcement to everyone listed in that city. (email list)iv) Offering housing: this should be a mini-Air B&B--students can create their own headings (i.e. sublet, 2 bedroom, in winter hill, 2000 a month)--but only harvard email addresses can post, and each posting has the name of the harvard student on it.f) a visual representation of where harvard students are living this summer :a link to google maps that creates a small red pin every time a student is living somewhere--so we can easily see where harvard students are going for the summer (would be a cool feature--might get the administration invested as well).I am willing to pay $200 for this.
