Dear Advertiser, Am I keen on being a writer? I have wanted nothing more in my life than to be a writer and have always been writing. I only could not opt for a full time career in writing as it does not pay all that well in India - mores’ the pity! I, thus, compromised and took up a full time job as Marketing Communications Manager and worked with several IT organizations including Akamai Technologies, HP, Speedera Networks amongst others. I also wrote a couple of published books and won the 2004 Highly Commended Commonwealth Short Story Award for my story `Nimble Fingers'. I was commissioned to write a book explaining the principles of Hinduism for children by an organization based in Hawaii. After 15 years of balancing what I want to do and what I have to do, I finally decided to quit a full time job to pursue a career in writing which is what I am doing now.
