We are a property search engine and we need to enable our users in Brazil to search for properties by looking in a suburb. (e.g. Cardoso in Belo Horizonte; Vila Isabel in Rio de Janeiro). To do this, we need basic coordinates of these suburbs. We have a list of suburbs and the city they are located in. Although we are currently posting this task only for 100 suburbs, we have this requirement for at least a thousand. We"d be very happy to continue with you, should everything work out fine in this test case.To be more specific, we need the following:* Bounding box for all the suburbs in the attached file, including: minimum latitude, minimum longitude, maximum latitude, maximum longitude* Bounding box coordinates to be in decimal degrees. Here is an example: 80.238825, 13.079813, 80.242517, 13.083439. Note that we need this data resolution - rounding to "80.24, 13.08, 80.24, 13.08" is not adequate. * We don"t care how you go about data collection, but we find online mapping applications such as,, or perhaps some of Google Mapping tools helpful. Also, WikiMapia seems to be a useful source for suburbs in Brazil. * There is a sample spreadsheet in the attachment. The first sheet (data) contains the city/address. You need to extract suburbs or street names from this sheet. We want to use the second sheet (Geodata to Add) to add the coordinates for these suburbs you extracted. The basic structure is simple:First we want you to mention the town name, and then the suburb. In front of each suburb, we want bounding box coordinates (coordinates go in minlong, minlat, maxlong, maxlat order). The last column is the alternative names you saw for the suburbs. For example, for "R. Santa Catarina II" in Vila Augusta, you may also have "R. Santa Catarina 2" as an alternative name. A suburb is mapped as an example, in the second sheet in blue. To determine that the task is completed adequately, we will randomly take some of the suburbs and check if the bounding boxes you provided are actually bounding them.

We are looking to investigate use of an iPAD to show visual information about our customers on a map. We"re just looking for a demonstration of the kinds of thing that are possible, so a rough working prototype is all we need. Test data is available in the following fields (example in brackets):Name (ABC electrical)UK Postcode (HG1 4DH)Months since last order (3)Type (E or W or O)Sales this month (12.2)Sales this quarter (21.5)Sales this Year (232)www ( text (buyer is Joe, specialise in electric heating)Phone 01235 654875What we want is to be able to display a map on an ipad or iphone with "pins" accurately located showing the location of each customer and the data fields visible if you touch the pin.we"d like the pins to be different (colours/shapes/sizes) depending on the data (say Type E one colour, type P another.). Maybe excel rules calculate pin colours types. It would also be good if ift were possible to show more than one layer separately, for example just showing customers with a certain spend or of a certain type (these could be multiple boolean selections). This could be done by creating a separate kml (?) file for each layer, so you couldnt view a new layer that wasnt previsouly uploaded, or maybe it is possble to do the search in real time so the user can select what cstomers to see.we"d also like suggestions of any other features that might interestng and useful. The whole point is we are looking to explore possibilities.Note we hold UK post codes not geo co-ordinates so we need a way of converting these for accurate display. Conversions are once-only, customers are added rarely. We do want to keep things very simple. If all we have is an excel macro that generates kml files tah tmight be OK. But if you think there is a better solution, please suggest. We are fairly good at non-macro excel but not experienced in KML/GIS.We have around 1000 live customers and maybe 4000 more in total. We might present subsets in diffeerent layers - so we might only display a couple of hundred in any one layer.

I"m gathering GPS data for an app I want to deploy in Lagos, Nigeria to help users navigate interesting places in the city. I want the broadest possible buy-in for this app; therefore it must be able to port to iOS, Android and blackberry platforms, as well as a fully dedicated website. I want to be able to upload the GPS data into a database somewhere, and the app connects, and tags those locations anytime the map is opened. The nearest locations can be pulled based on the "My current location" feature of whichever map API is used.

We need a softwar package that we can track our vehicles using Ipad"s, Iphones and a PC. Trucks will use IPADs in order to provide a GPS transciever. We would need to be able to track each individual Ipad on the truck. Full details of features needed below:-Track individual Ipads on trucks and provide real time data such as stop time, drive time, and speed-Be able to send messages to individual Ipads on truck. Trucks can send messages back. Nice if we could use Imessage or a similiar platform or even SMS.-Allow the truck to run a navagation system using Google Maps API with traffic in the same app. Along with alternative route options due to traffic-Allow base to push new routes to individual truck Ipads-POD (Proof of Delivery) system that accepts PDF, XLS, WORD, JPG, and TIFF formats. Must access drop box and google drive and allow signing of invoices, followed with upload of signed invoices.-Accessable on PC, IPAD, Iphone, and web based android-Easy to use and rebust. MUST BE ABLE TO DO ALL FEATURES ON AN IPAD AND PC-PROVIDE TRUCK LOGS WITH TIME BETWEEN STOPS, and TIME spent at stops and able to provide easily printable reports. Along with total drive time.-DESIGN AND EASY TO USE IS KEY. MUST BE IDIOT PROOF-All source code belongs to us when completed.-NO milestones
