I have a data entry application running on my windows computer. This application takes the barcode data read from several scanners connected to the machine. This hardware setup may vary from time to time so the number and/or location (USB port) of the barcodes changes. The scanners are HID devices (connected via USB) and therefore emulate keyboard strokes. The problem is that my data entry application must always be on focus for the scanners to send the barcodes to the right text field. This is a big pain. I need a windows desktop keylogger application which:_ Will identify all the HID barcode scanners connected to my PC_ Create a configuration window where I can select/unselect scanners I want to "listen" to_ Create a file with a time stamp and the barcode information read from the scanners connected. I have a 32-bit internal chat program written in VBA circa 2000 that I am currently running under XP. It installs and runs under Windows 7 32-bit but needs to be modified to install and run under Win 7 64. The program is roaming user profile aware and this functionality must be preserved (user settings are saved in the user profile). May consider porting to .NET if we can stay within budget.
