29th April 2012Jerry,Didn’t get time to start working on the business plan until yesterday evening due to holding numerous interviews this week for the crucial post of Export Sales Manager. Happy to say that we’ve got 3 strong candidates shortlisted now and will be second interviewing them this afternoon. Will continue working on the BP over the weekend and the early part of next week.Anyway, I’m sending you what has been done so far, although it will have moved on within a few days. Here are some notes:1.The accountant tells me that he has done all the links and is now waiting for my input. If there is still anything you feel he should be able to enter by himself, please let me know. 2.We enquired to the BOI for information about the SIERA account and received a reply from their top legal guy which I sent you as an attachment this morning. If you wish we will still test the system as discussed.3.I inserted some notes and assumptions into the accountant’s tab ‘Workings of G&A’ to enable him to continue with inputs.4.New tab entered, ‘CAPEX’ (not yet linked to any other tabs). I’m working on this right now and putting in what I think we need. A 20% contingency is built into the figures that need it (not all do and some CAPEX items need no contingency at all as the price is set (e.g. land price and BOI fees for the next year etc.). I am still working on this sheet right now so it will be finalised probably by tomorrow. I had forgotten a rather important CAPEX item – vehicles!5.Rob’s Scratchpad (new tab in workbook) contains a duplicate of the notes mentioned in 3) above and also assumptions and explanations associated with the figures I have entered under the Rob’s CAPEX tab. It’s partly to clarify my thoughts and also for you to look at if you wonder what particular inputs in the Rob’s CAPEX sheet are about.6.Changed title of tab ‘Rob’s CAPEX’ to ‘Temp CAPEX’ since the new tab CAPEX will replace it when links are inserted.7.Tinkering now with ‘Rob Revenue Input’ Tab. Introducing a realistic power function into the 8.Attached also is Doc ‘Borneo Exotics 7’ I have only started work on elements of the Executive Summary as that is the part we will need first. It’s only a first draft and I would like your opinion on the level of detail I’m giving. My additions are in blue and any questions for you are in bubble gum pink to brighten your day.Cheers,Rob

I need to solve these 3 questions. If you can, please contact me.Thank you.Q1. Write a short matlab simulation to illustrate how a red blood cell leaving the heart will transit the peripheral vasculature before returning to the heart. Please hand in the Matlab code and a plot illustrating time (on the x axis) and distance travelled (on the y axis). You will need to do some research on arterial, capillary and venous flow rates to simulate this question well. Make whatever realistic assumptions are required and state your assumptions.Q2.Write Matlab code to measure your heart rate using a microphone attached to your computer. Plot 10 seconds worth of raw and filtered data. Indicate on the plots where the heart beats occur. Q3.Write Matlab code to determine how long the vascular system must be to be responsible for the 15 Watts of metabolic energy that the heart consumes. Make realistic assumptions about blood viscosity, vessel diameters, etc. State these assumptions. Is your prediction realistic?

I need to manufacture an iphone application so that the user can take a photo of any painted wall and have the device produce the colour so that it can be copied and reproduced I.e matching a painted wall and being able to have your local paint store make it for you.

Allelomimesis as a generic clustering mechanism for interacting agents

Physica A, 320, 590-600, doi: 0.1016/S0378-4371(02)01556-X

We show that allelomimesis is a generic mechanism that could explain why the cluster size distribution D (s) of diverse social aggregates such as animal groups and socio economic entities all fit into a power-law distribution: D (s)∝ s− τ, where τ is the critical exponent. Roughly, allelomimesis is the tendency of an agent to imitate the actions of its neighbors. A cellular automata model of allelomimesis yields a population-age distribution which is consistent with the assumption of evolutionary biologis

Cluster formation by allelomimesis in real-world complex adaptive systems

Physical Review E 71, 041905 (2005), doi: 10.1103/PhysRevE.71.041905

Animal and human clusters are complex adaptive systems and many organize in cluster sizes s that obey the frequency distribution D(s)∝s−τ. The exponent τ describes the relative abundance of the cluster sizes in a given system. Data analyses reveal that real-world clusters exhibit a broad spectrum of τ values, 0.7 (tuna fish schools) ⩽τ⩽4.61 (T4 bacteriophage gene family sizes). Allelomimesis is proposed as an underlying mechanism for adaptation that explains the observed broad τ spectrum. Allelomimesis is t

Self-organized pattern formation in a diverse attractive-repulsive swarm

Europhysics Letters 86, 48004 (2009), doi: 10.1209/0295-5075/86/48004

A diverse, asynchronous swarm consisting of N mobile, attractive-repulsive particles evolves inside a two-dimensional confinement. Each particle k is characterized by a preferred neighboring distance ρk determined from a truncated normal distribution of mean \overline{\rho} and standard deviation σρ, for 0≤ρ<∞. Pairwise particle interaction is either attractive or repulsive depending on whether the distance between two particles is greater or less than ρk. The swarm forms self-organized metastable patter

Phenotypic plasticity stimulated by cooperation fosters pattern diversity of bacterial colonies

Physical Review E 86, 011920 (2012), doi: 10.1103/PhysRevE.86.011920

Colonies of flagellated bacteria on agar plates are known to take on diverse morphologies. A diffusion-reaction model is proposed for bacterial-colony pattern formation on a surface due to time scale separation between the slow mass migration of bacteria from the point of inoculation, and the fast, but localized, dynamics of bacterial phenotypic plasticity stimulated by public-goods cooperation and phenotypic switching. By considering two switchable phenotypes in the population, the model generates pattern
