The Operations and Maintenance Center Radio Access Network (OMC-RAN) is a comprehensive graphical user interface (GUI)-based Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OA&M) platform that provides enhanced, state of the art OA&M capabilities for a Flexent®/AUTOPLEX® wireless network. This NBI Adapter is being developed in two standards Chinese Telecom and 3GPP2 Delta specifications. My Role:•Involved in the analysis & effort estimation for the new features of OMC-RAN.•Authoring of functional specification as per LUCENT templates and guidelines •Designing analysis level UML diagrams (viz. use case diagrams, class diagrams and message flow diagrams) using Rational Rose•Coding of the new features and other sub components(NBI,GUI,CM,FM). •Coding of the new features in JAVA using the API of Lucent iEMS platform•Getting the code reviewed by the review participants with emphasis on follow up on Lucent coding guidelines, performance & code optimizationsProgramming Language, OS & tools used: Java on Sun Solaris with IEMS (Integrated Element Management System - a LUCENT proprietary platform for productization of OMC), Open Fusion Notification Service, Open Fusion Naming Service, JBuilder, Rational Clear Case, and Rational Clear Quest.Summary5+years Extensive experience in software development, including Software requirement analysis, System architecture, Software system design using UML, Development, and Unit testing.Good Experience in NMS/EMS technologies with Java.Experience in FCAPS and OAM&P Functioning models.Hands on experience with various EMS/NMS frameworks like Adventnet, iEMS etc.Experience with various EMS/NMS like -Operations and maintenance center (OMC-Common NBI,OMC-RAN) by Alcatel-Lucent,-Experience in developing, support and maintaining applications using Java.Experience in Northbound services implementation.Hands on experience on shell script and perl script.Experience in programming Languages like C, C++.
