• EDI and Order Processing/Management Software

  This is an EDI (Electronic data interface) and order processing/delivery software project. Yes, I am looking for software I can install either on a PC or preferable on my server. The reason why this project exists is because I currently own several websites with more being added every four to six weeks. And, two of my suppliers have forced an EDI solution on me. That is, they are EDI integrated and I am not, so I must integrate with them. I figure while I am spending the money, I might as well add an order processing management/delivery system in as well. How my business works is that I am in e-commerce and I am a dropshipper, so if a client buys something from my website, then usually an email goes to the product's supplier who is then notified to ship the product to the client-buyer. Then, when the product is shipped, a notification comes back stating it has been shipped and they give me the tracking number and the correct shipping amount. I then manually load the tracking number into the shopping cart and the correct shipping amount into Quickbooks. I'd like EDI to handle all of these functions. In addition, there is an order management/delivery portion of this project. I work with a lot of small shops and we generally communicate through email. That is, an email is sent to them letting them know an order has been placed and they email me back with the tracking number and the correct shipping amount. I usually have to manually input this into my shopping cart. I am wondering if there is a way we can just dump all of the information from the tracking email into the customer update field in my shopping cart, update the order's status, which will then automatically generate an email to the customer that will contain the tracking information. Basically, I want to automate this process as much as possible. The other requirements this project has are that it must work across an unlimited number of separate websites on different shopping carts and be able to handle an unlimited number of suppliers. That is, websites, suppliers, and further EDI trade partners can be added later. In short, I need to EDI integrate with two suppliers and I want to setup an order management system for the remainder of my suppliers. I'd like this software to integrate with Quickbooks and to be hosted on my server. Please let me know if you can perform this work, give me a rough estimate of how much it will cost, the time period to complete it, what other information you need from me, and whether you have worked on these projects before. Also, to whoever I select for the job, I will create another job that is must cheaper (the cheapest one) to save you money when you select it.
