will definitely be hiring James again for enhancements to the site! he's very professional, a great Ruby/Rails developer and has a keen eye for developing things for the long-term.

Project Description:Looking to build an industry-specific website/application that has a discussion board component at the core of its functionality. Later on it will need to have a wiki, events module, a directory for consulting services and job listings and other features...

Looking to develop a dating site that allows users to charge others for emails. So for example a female on this dating website could charge males .25 cents per email if they wish to communicate with them. Pay-per-email dating site is designed to taper down on the email deluge women receive from men by charging them for each email sent. Site should work much like Webcam sites with the ability for users to purchase tokens and spend them on participating users. By allowing users to charge per email, this allows users to add a premium to the types of people they would like to receive messages from. Should work using tokens so I am guessing a conversion ratio of like $10 = 1000 tokens. Just like OkCupid there should be a rating system, however, users should be able to fix email prices according to the rating of the sender. For instance if a sender has a 1 star rating he gets charged $1 per email, if they have a 5 star rating he may get charged .02 cents. This allows the user to charge more money if you are a less attractive suitor. Email charge will also apply to chat feature. Additionally the user should be able to add additional fees to any one of the description categories such as age, race, height, income, religion, etc, etc. So for instance if the user normally charges $2 an email for 1 star candidates, but particularly hates anyone over the age of 50, they can add additional fees to the email charge so that candidates over the age of 50 must pay $10 extra, meaning a 1 star sender would pay $12 per email. (The sender must get a warning message of the additional charge and why before he/she sends it.) Here is the unique item: Each user profile should be allotted 2 "favorite" tokens. Essentially when a user awards a messenger with this token, all of their emails are free from here on out (or until the token is taken away.) This is so most messengers will know that if they receive the "favorite" token that the user is serious about exchanging communication/contact info without charging them for it. This system should allow email recipients to indicate to certain messengers that they are preferred for free of charge communication. Basic profiles will only have 2 tokens each, unless they upgrade their account - which should be an option. Like ebay, each profile should also have a separate Feedback rating, this is a rating by the messengers that rates if the user does what they say they would do and how much of a flake they are. Video capability is a must. Users must have the ability to upload vids/streaming ability like webcam sites. Wiki help page should also be established. Admin should have the ability to track statistics, feature blog posts(should be easy), put up personality tests and spot duplicate profiles created by users, both text, vids and pics. Membership fees should go through Paypal and credit card payments which should be integrated in SSL pay system.
