We have just updated our hardware and software. Now some of the tools we have used in the past don"t work with our new software.Hardware: iMac 27", i7, OS X 10.9.1 Mavericks. Software: Adobe CC Illustrator. We were using CS5 Illustrator and the attached Cutting Tools plug-in. The plug-in doesn"t work with CC Illustrator. We need a new CC Illustrator plug-in (Machete) that has tools that do the same things that attached plug-in does or the attached plug-in ported from CS5 to CC Illustrator. The following link should have the resources and knowledge needed to complete the job. http://www.adobe.com/devnet/illustrator/sdk.html

Write a mac base program using apple script (or whatever you feel is appropriate) - problem: watching video content on the web, without watching/listening to those stupid commercials they force on you - again & again & again. There is no after market application that truly solves the problem. Ad Blocker is the "best" I could find. It doesn"t work for video commercials. There is a functional solution I can describe that I am willing to pay someone to write the program for. Most computer users have several "mini- tasks" to complete at their computer at any give time. If the audio portion of the commercial was not drilling into their heads they could ignore the video portion of the commercial and complete a task or two during the commercials and be prompted back only when their desired content was beginning to play. Just pushing the mute button with the intention of coming back as soon as the 15 second commercial is over sometimes works. Many other times the individual gets lost in the mini task and forgets to un mute before the video content plays. Sometimes the whole clip is missed and the user has to start all over again sometimes just the beginning is missed. Regardless, manual mute is not a smooth process. Instead of wasting time auditorily paying attention to the commercial so as not miss the beginning of the intended content, if there were a background program or AppleScript that temporarily muted the volume of the video and un muted exactly when the desired content was about to start it would prompt the user to bring their attention back to the content they intended to watch. No time wasted listening/watching commercials, a couple of small tasks completed, desired content cued up to watch!Simple programing that runs in the background of web browser (I am will to pay for a safari based one because that"s what I use):Once Video content link is activated:if, command + M pushed = 15 seconds of muted volumeif, during 15 seconds of muted volume, M pushed = 5 seconds of additional muted volumeNO limit to the amount of 5 second interval added during active mute mode.An Even better version of the program would be for the program to have the ability, through the web browser, video player interface, to read how much time they were going to play commercials and automatically set the mute for the correct time without manual calculation from the user.

When working with the open source D-ITG traffic simulation software, we are running into traffic generation limitations. While the ultimate goal is to maximize the traffic generation potential, we must at least be able to determine what the maximum is for a given platform. So these are the two goals of this project: determine the potential of a given platform, optimize the traffic generation process to raise the existing ceiling. The limitations we see appear to be based on packet rate. When we try to increase the total bandwidth sent by increasing the packet rate, ITGSend does not send the requested number of packets. When we write a local log file, we see this there. The maximum that it will send does vary with different hardware. It seems that the packet generation itself is causing the limitation. We would like to be able to run a series of test simulations to a loopback interface in order to determine the capabilities of the hardware we are running on. Currently, running ITGRecv on a system, then running ITGSend to 127.0.0.1 on the same system causes ITGRecv to crash. The second part is increasing this limit. Again, since ITGSend is reporting that it sent fewer packets than requested, it seems that the problem is in packet creation. The simulations don"t contain real data, of course, so if it is packet generation that is imposing the limit, and playing of a PCAP would be more efficient, then we would like to do that. For instance, if all of the voice calls use a 50B packet, we can have a PCAP of a 50kb packet and just replay it as needed for the stream. Of course, if there is a better (read more efficient) way to generate the traffic, we are happy to go that route. This work is important to move forward with other projects and we would like to complete as quickly as possible.

Extend Report to display in excel.Phase 2 description:A Mac OSX program written in Objective C which will display a report in a popup window. The report will consist of 5 columns of numbered lists of names in scrolling area. Each column will have 5 fields (number, name, 3 character field, 3 character field, 4 digit number). The sixth column will have an extra numeric field. The columns will be sorted by the numeric field. The columns will have a thin divider line between them. The report should include a print feature. The report can be printed in landscape or portrait mode (user selects). The portrait report should contain approximately 105 (+/-) rows of names including the title. To accommodate all the data the fonts and margins will be smaller than normal. The landscape report should contain approximately 67 (+/-) rows of names including the title. A larger font may be used here. There is a one line footer at the bottom of the printed report. The page breaks and footer do not have to be displayed in the window. But it’s okay if they are. Whichever is easier. The printed reports will each be 1 page in length. We have a Mac OSX project with objective C code which loads the names into a very simple class which you may use for development and testing. We also have source code to a similarly developed report which we can provide to you.

Overview: This tool monitors your keyboard activity and if you go a set period of time without typing it will fade your screen and/or play a sound.. To begin, a user selects an amount of seconds, then, hits start. If they fail to type using any keys on the keyboard for the amount of time selected, the program will cause the screen to begin dimming. Once the user enters another key, the screen will automatically convert back to a regular (non-dimmed) screen, and the countdown will begin again. This will continue until the user closes the program. The purpose of the tool is designed for writers. Instead of stalling and not typing anything on the screen, the dimming effect will alert them to continue writing. The goal should be to constantly keep using the keyboard, that way the screen never dims. A constant dimming reminder alerts the user to keep pushing forward with their composition.Features:- No Internet access required after installationUser Interface:It should have an input field that allows numbers only to be entered. Three digits maximum. So 1-999 should be accepted. Note: Once they’ve entered a number and hit the Start button, it should save that number by default on the next use. There should be a checkmark box option that says Play Sound. When it’s checkmarked, it will play a brief error sound. If you have a sound available that"s great, otherwise I can find one.At the bottom will be a green start button. Once it’s clicked, the start button will turn into a red Stop button. The program will have an internal timer (not viewable) to count seconds until the keyboard is used. Once any key is entered, the timer resets back to 0. If the clock counts up to the number they’ve entered, without ever getting reset back to 0 from typing, the fading effect will occur, and the sound option if they’ve checkmarked it will activate. The fading will continue until they’ve entered any key on their keyboard. When this happens, the screen goes back to regular non-fade mode, the clock is adjusted back to 0, and the process is repeated over again. Note: It shouldn’t matter what program is being run, whether it’s a browser, word document, etc. The fading effect should happen regardless when the time is reached. To be awarded the project, I"d love to see a demo of some of the functionality. Perhaps you can create the program with just a start button that fades the screen. That way I"ll know you"ll be able to handle the rest of the project. I have a demo of a windows version if you"d like to see it.
