I'm interested in hiring a talented individual that can offer their services for taking a conceptual website design and translating it into a working and functional site. At this moment, the website concepts exist as images that I would be glad to share if you think you're up to the job.A run-down of features that I'm looking to be coded specifically.- Core site (main/template code)- Hover Overs- jQuery Accordion/Multi-Accordions- Ticker (read: news ticker)- Modular pop-up window fields- Fluid/Modular layout; 1024x768 resolution and up- Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and IE8+ compatibleBACKGROUND:This site is for a community that formed around video games nearly a full decade ago. We've essentially been running off of some internet forums since then, but talks about expanding have been a rising topic for some time. This is the next step, giving the group more of a grounded home than just some forums. The site administrators do know basic HTML and CSS knowledge, but aren't as versed in creating something which requires a lot of Javascript, jQuery, PHP, AJAX, whatever it may be. With that said, we have the expertise to modify small things, as well importing our own content, essentially I'm looking for a template to be designed, the community will fill in the gaps.jQUERY ACCORDION/MULTI-ACCORDION DETAILS:There are two different instances that I would like for these to be active and working. The first is the most important, I'm interested in a multi-accordion (at least I'm assuming it would have to be multi-accordion) news function. The idea here is that when the user loads up the main page, they get a condensed list of recent headlines with the author information and posted date (Posted by _____ on May 1, 2010) right under neath it. To the right, a field which will house the number of comments that have been posted to that article. From there, the user can click on a headline and the field will animate the thumbnail out and expand into the article, which allows the user to read what the actual headline is about as well as some other options, such as: posting a comment, viewing comments, or closing the window. As you might be able to imagine or guess, if the user wishes to post a comment, they'll click on that link and the field will expand further with a text box form and submit button, the 'Post comment' link will disappear as well. If the user wishes to view comments, they will click that link and if there are any posted comments by users on that article they will show up, as well the 'View Comments' link will disappear. Both these options can also be selected at the same time, headline expanded to article + comments viewable via 'View Comments' + posting a comment via 'Post Comments'.To wrap it all up, the user will have a few options to move onto a different article or close the existing article. A Close button will always be visible, clicking it will collapse any open field for that headline back to its original state, animating the thumbnail back in. As if the user was just loading the page for the first time. Alternatively, by clicking the headline, I would also like a the fields to collapse back to its default position. Two more things to add about the news function, I would like it so that the user can click on the number of comments that appears to the right of the headline to go directly to the 'View Comments' expandable field. A shortcut if you will.Lastly, I only want one field to be opened at any given time, if a user decides to open one headline to its article and related fields and doesn't close it, but then decides to open a completely different headline and its contents, then the previously left opened article would collapse back to its default position. The second accordion would be for navigation purposes, simply for links. A lot like the news function, if the user clicks a link, it will expand to its content or sub-links (think: nesting), as well if the user decides to open a different main-link, the previously opened link will collapse back to its original state.MODULAR POP-UP WINDOW FIELDS:The idea here is for links such as the Author who posted the headline, users would be able to click their name and a move able/expandable field(window) would pop up with their information in it. Also, the same idea would be applied for other needs, such as creating a Application form.I'm assuming the news ticker is self-explanatory, if not I can go into detail through a PM.Before I forget, I want the ability to basically categorize the news articles, a database would ultimately run this, but I want the user to be able to click on a specific games title and only those news headlines would be present, but also having the option to view 'All' the news in one sitting.Any other questions, feel free to send a PM.I'm interested in hiring a talented individual that can offer their services for taking a conceptual website design and translating it into a working and functional site.
