  We are a small building group that seeks an architect and/or very experienced drafter to aid us in conceptual residential hand-sketches and designs. This would be an “ongoing” relationship to where the described designer would come up with primarily residential ELEVATIONS (front, rear, side, and roof design) based on be design principals [proper Scale, Massing, and architecture Style & Design, etc…] traditionally found in reference books like: “A Field Guide to American Houses”, by Virginia McAlester and Lee McAlester or “The Elements of Style”, by Stephen Calloway and Elizabeth Collins Cromley. Occasionally, there may be some commercial design work as well.Any proposed project would start off by us sending the drafter a conceptual CAD drawing of a floorplan or simple picture/image of what we desire to file product to resemble. The designer would come up with Elevations based on that floorplan and/or image, specifications, and using the style principals traditionally used in styles like Beaux Arts, English Tudor, Country French, Spanish Colonial, etc…. architecture. Said designer will have a lot of latitude and flexibility in the design process, once we/I relay the style and vision we’d like to see in the finished product. In turn, and upon conception of the hand sketches, we’d ask that same designer or either a 3rd party to convert the hand-sketched rendering into a CAD or BIM drawing.Hand-sketch are preferred because I/we feel they provide a more creative aspect and required details, in the early stages, then what might in seen in a CAD or Revit file. “DETAILS” are extremely important to us in the design process (i.e. mouldings, corbels, dormer, texture, use of various materials, etc..) There are a number of council requirements that the design must meet:- Landscape strip to a width of 2m to all boundaries- 1.5m boundary setback to gutterline- 5.5m driveway with cars capable of entering/existing in forward gear- 1 carpark for every dwelling and 1 vistor park for every 2 dwellings- Carport/Garage can"t be located infront of building line- Visitor parks don"t require carportI"m after some unique design ideas as I have looked at putting a driveway down one side and there isn"t enough room. I will forward full list of council requirements on award of job. The job will be awarded to the person who can illustrate through a basic sketch that they can achieve the desired result. Focus is on a fun room integrating the past where going to the movies was something real special and had such character and ambiance.Need to create a screen type divide between lounge and dining room.Reason is that reclining theatre seats from the back don"t look great as they need to recline and contain the mechanism to facilitate the recline position.I would imagine a rail & curtain system to hide this but still look sleek, inviting and elegant. Wow factor is needed.Lighting techniques should offer variable mood ambiance.Incorporate what was custom to visiting a up market bioscope. Tea room bioscopes were also very popular all day movies included a meal and drink with a counter in front of the seats spanning the width in each row.Popcorn machine etc.Looking for design and be able to source accepted components at best wholesale prices.Did you experience this error. Have the same passion about it and could bring that back to my lounge so.
