Hello all,I work in education, and I need a tool for ranking our students for their courses and also across various subjects. This is partly research, partly motivational/monitoring tool for students.The students complete a number of courses over the years; for each course they get points for exams, assignments and so forth. Say that students have Y points in a course, and a rank for that specific course; then, they have Z points in another course, and a ranking for that specific course. The idea is to create a general ranking weighting their scores for different courses on a formula. (that I would be able to decide and change). The idea is to have a website for them to see their ranks for each course, and also a general rank that gives them an idea of where they are in comparison to all the other students, in the context of all the courses and activities.The website needs to allow me to add any number of courses and show individual ranks for each course. I should be able to add courses, activities (internships, projects) dispensing points for each of those, adding these to the general rank formula. It should also allow me to change the formulas and view the general rank. The website needs to allow me to query the databases from different perspectives i.e student ranking for students from Europe; or ranking for students from France; or ranking for students younger than 21; or for a specific course, etc; any type of query. The website will allow me to collect information about each student.Sure, each student will have to login and see its individual performance; the students could be invited in a 'group' for a specific course, or join individually. They will input requested data by themselves, and the website will provide points. They should see a main page similar to a dashboard with their different course scores, rankings, and their position in their general rank. Each student should then be able to drill-down and click on each number/rank and see details and graphs. I must be able to decide what they can see and what not, permissions). The website also needs a timeline for their performance evolution. The graphs must be beautiful and provide the possibility to drill-down or change perspectives. How would you approach this? How long will this take? Can you also provide assistance after this is done (for future changes, additions)? Can you also develop this into a mobile app (apple, android, win)?Thanks in advance.
