############################################# This PROJECT is for DAMIEN ROCHE only #### sorry to everyone else #############################################Hi Damien,I had been posting the information under our previous project - I hope you get this. Please contact via messgae to discussI have posted the info below that I have posted onto the previous project - please read from the bottom up.DaveHi Damien,Further to the last message, our client isn't happy that the site isn't live (even though they got back to us ridiculously late), so we're putting the site live right now....(bloody clients)I don't like the concept of working on a live site, so could I ask you to make all the changes on the same site as you have. Then once you have tested and are happy with it working, could you provide me with the files that I should copy across to the live server?I'd be happier with that approach.CheersDavewebwonder4410/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/10(9 reviews)Project OwnerPosted: 01-31-2010 17:19 ESTHi Damien,Hoping you;ve seen this message, or will see it shortly, and that you have time to take a lookCheersDvaewebwonder4410/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/10(9 reviews)Project OwnerPosted: 01-30-2010 02:30 ESTHi Damien,I finally have a rsponse from the client! Please go ahead.Cheers,Davewebwonder4410/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/1010/10(9 reviews)Project OwnerPosted: 01-28-2010 19:41 ESTHi Damien,There are 3 things, all fairly simple I believe. The first two have been oked by the client, but I'm still waiting for response on the third (so please don't do anything as yet on this one).If you wish to complete the first 2 that would be great - alternatively, if you want to wait till the third one is oked or not, thats fine too.TASKS1. The email setup that you worked upon previously for people sending through messages. Could you please add a checkbox, and the words:I agree that the information I am supplying is correct and agree to the terms and conditions of this website. And please validate it, such that it must be ticked to send, else notification. Also, just an alteration for the sake of security/abuse possibilties. Coould you change all messages to be sent from '', and the message details to be:From: <name>Email: <email>Message:<message>--- And concluding text of--This message has been generated from the RegisterTheft website. Please do not reply to this email. Please contact the sender of this message directly2. When registering an item, there are 2 fields: 'display from', and 'display until' fields. Client now wishes these fields to be removed, and for it to be hardcoded, such that it starts immediately, and runs for 12 months.3. This is the one that I am waiting on a reponse from the client. It is an unfortunate quirk of the component. Let me explain simply. If you do a search, for say, bags - it works fine. There is a little note that says keword:bags (see attachement). The issue is that when a user navigates away from the page (say, goes back to browse). And then browses more items, it keeps the filter on. Unfortunately, in browse mode it will say '5 items in Livestock' then when you click on Livestock, there are no items displaying. The filter is still on buts fairly inconspicuous.I guess taking the filter off once you navigate away from the page is one option, but you know, issues with going forward and back, when clients still think they're in filter mode.BTW this also happens, when a user clicks on 'view more items from Dave' - filter stays on.My suggested solution is this (but I haven't heard back yet)(a) Make it more obvious. Change text 'keyword: bag X' toThese results are being filtered by : BagsClick here to turn off filteringand(b)Insert some code, that resets/ switches off filtering when a user goes to teh main browse page. If this is not difficult it will solve around 99% of the prob.Could you let me know if (b) is simple? Thanks Damien - I really hope to get back to you in the next hour or so!Dave Chaffey
