Résumé

Experience

Lecturer

Sep 2012 - Present (1 year)

University of Guelph

Coordinator for 4th year medical toxicology in the department of Biomedical Sciences.

Research Associate

Dec 2009 - Oct 2012 (2 years)

University of Waterloo

Developed a platform consisting of computational modeling and experimental microcalorimetry of lipid vesicles. Using molecular dynamics simulations, I modeled the free energy associated with membrane disruption by several solvents and detergents. The examination of identical membrane systems using isothermal titration microcalorimetry experiments provided correlation with thermodynamic parameters obtained from computational results.

Research Associate

Jan 2005 - Oct 2008 (3 years)

University of Alberta

Virtual drug screening, protein modeling, drug design, grant development and writing

Education

PhD in Biochemistry

University of Alberta

1997-2004

BsC in Chemistry

1990-1995

Certifications

Biochemistry

American Chemical Society

ACS guidelines require that approved programs offer and certified majors graduate with the equivalent of three semester hours of biochemistry. Molecular aspects of biological structures, equilibria, energetics, and reactions should be covered in the required biochemistry experience for chemistry majors. Sufficient introduction to these topics should be presented so that students can obtain the flavor of modern biochemistry.
