Hell's Gate Airtram (Fraser Canyon, BC, Canada)
It was a job on an airtram in British Columbia, Canada. It was very helpful to bring my English to perfection.
The following were my responsabilities:
- Preparation of the tram for the day
- Greeting and loading the costumers
- Giving a presentation about the historical site to the costumers
- Answering questions
- Working in a team with the other tram operator
- Keeping the gondola clean
Graf Fisch Design (Greifswald, Germany)
I took a look into the job to see if it is a profession I would like to do in the future. It was just two weeks - winter holidays - but definitely an experience that tought me a lot. I learned a lot of details that make design good and also how to use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign professionally.
I used what I had learned to create the yearbook for my grade and to improve the design of my blogs (see the portfolio).
I am writing critical and objective articles in German nearly daily: http://nachdenkblog.tumblr.com/ I use this blog as well to express my opinion, to connect to others and to write creative stories.
The Daily German
I use this blog to promote my offer for online German courses but fill it with non-commercial context that present the German culture to others: http://daily-german.tumblr.com/ It is written in a entertaining but not hilarious matter.
