How to make your bid stand out from the crowd

Great! You have found a project that requires your exact skills and experience and you’ve thrown your hat into the ring with a really competitive bid, so the last thing you want is for your name to get lost in the shuffle. When there are sometimes hundreds of freelancers competing for the same job, there’s nothing wrong with doing what you can to put yourself in prime position to be awarded the project. offers a couple of ways to make sure your bid doesn’t get overlooked.

Sponsored Bid

For as little as US$1, you can put your bid right at the top of the list so that it’s the very first thing the Employer sees.  If someone out-sponsors you, your bid gets bumped from the top position, so you’ll have to up the ante if you want to keep your spot.  Get ousted from the top 3 in the list, and you’ll get your money back.  If you win the bid while maintaining your hold on one of the first 3 spots, you’ll be refunded the entire sponsorship amount.

You can sponsor your bid at any time until the project is closed to bidding, and the form is already pre-filled with the minimum amount needed to put your bid first. You can go ahead and accept that amount, or you can try your hand at landing the second or third spot.

Highlighted Bid

Highlighting your bid makes it stand out visually from the rest in the list.  It’s an easy way to draw the Employer’s eye to your name and it only costs US$1. If you have written out a clear and concise bid and you know you have the skills needed to do the job right then highlighting your bid can give you the edge you need to get ahead of the competition.
