What happens to my bids when Project is closed without being awarded to any Freelancers?

asked by Masimoto 29 March, 2017

I'm a new Freelancer and I have observed that This has happened on so many of the projects that I bid on as a freelancer. The employer sets a quick deadline to submit bids, many freelancers bid on the project and the project is then closed without being awarded to any of the freelancers who bid.

So what happens to my bid? Do i get that back so that I can actually used it for some meaningful bidding where at least the Employer considers one of the bidders.

Your bid will get refunded if it has passed 28 days after 7 days of closure.

Once you bid its deducted from your quota. You don't get it back even if the project is cancelled or closed without being awarded.Injustice for freelancers huh !!!

Editing a bid does NOT deduct more bids from your dashboard. At least, it's never happened to me. If you are experiencing this I advise you to talk to site support.

No, you don't get it back if the project is awarded to anyone else or if the employer decide not to award anyone and close it without awarding anyone.
I also think that if you edit the bid after posting one more bid get deducted from your bid quota (someone can correct me if i'm wrong).

P.S. Once you submitted the bid the bid get deducted from your bid quota and it don't come back by any means so, on freelancer there isn't anything free actually, so if you want more bids (of course you want i think), you have to upgrade your membership.
