Contest Brief

Here is a snipet of my campaign description.

My purpose in life is to help those less advantaged. This I know for sure.

I want to go to Africa and volunteer in an orphanage, teach English, build houses, help implement sustainable practices and be present in the lives of orphans.
“Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat” - Mother Teresa
I have some statistics I would like to share with you all.
Every 15 SECONDS, another child becomes an AIDS orphan in Africa.
Every DAY 5,760 more children become orphans in Africa.
160 million children under the age of 5 are malnourished.
10.9 million children under 5 die each year.
There are currently an estimated 53.1 million orphans in Africa.
30% have lost their parents to the AIDS epidemic.
These statistics bring a tear to my eye especially when knowing that it doesn’t have to be this way. Obviously I am realistic and know that I cannot help every single orphan but to change the life of just one child would be the most amazing achievement, in my eyes.

This December my journey to Africa begins. I will be volunteering in orphanages in Kenya & Uganda.
What I want from you, is to help me pay my final fees which include medical travel insurance ($500) and vaccinations ($300) as well as purchase much needed items for these orphanages. Most orphanages in Africa receive nothing from their governments, they purely rely on donations from the 1st world countries and most of the time these only cover basic food and running costs.
I want to provide them with items like pencils, new clothing, uniforms, new bed sheets, school books, blankets and seeds.
If I receive enough donations I would love to provide them with animals, flushing toilets and clean water wells. I have put examples of the items I could purchase next to the monetary value in the rewards section.
Although a one off item is great, it’s these sustainable items that will continue providing for them in the future.

I need a video created that reflects this.
It must be no longer than 3 minutes long. The shorter the better.
I want some examples of first world problems included and pictures of African orphanages.
I also want backing music to match the video.

The contest time was extended before and you can not keep ask for extending. you should respect the deadline as I did and uploading a 2 sec video b4 the time end that is unethical to share the prize if the contest holder did not choose a winner. Thx

hey guys, just a heads up I dont want my campaign description read out in the video. I also want it to be structured with a beginning, middle & end. I was thinking more of speed written first world problems with third world pictures with sad music and maybe animation of a character travelling from australia to africa telling a little bit of the story. See first world problem videos on youtube and other Pozible campaign videos. Thanks :)

  Search youtube for "first world problems" they are problems first world people have like i hate when the fridge is so full I cant find anything to eat. Having this then having a picture of starving children really show how much first world countries take for granted.
