Contest Brief

What do we do?
We are a car sharing company. One of the main functionality of our product is a driver’s app which allows our customers to reserve a car and manage the car doors without a car key. Our website is www.faraday.fi.

What do we need?
We need a new UI design for this driver's app.

For this task we are expecting 6 app pages / screen views:
1) A view showing what it could look like to search for and reserve a car
2) An example of what a UI pop-up could look like for this app (e.g., requesting more time with an on-going reservation)
3) An example of what a page would look like for seeing existing bookings or modifying them
4) An example of what the app would show when a car is actively booked and the driver is able to open and close the car doors
5) An example of how the driver's renter history could be displayed
6) One additional page to show off your own intuition with the app (e.g., a menu screen, reporting damage screen, etc.)

(In the login view just press ‘Sign in’. The contents of the ‘Email’ or ‘Password’ fields does not matter.
In the ‘Book’ view just press the figure above ‘Book a time’ text to open the calendar view.)

For a clearer note on the elements we want to see on the page and technical requirements, see below:
Technical specification of the required views/view components:
- Menu
- Searching and reserving cars based on time and duration criteria
- Managing your car reservations (delete, edit)
(Editing is not possible in the old app.)
- When you have an ongoing reservation, it should be possible to:
Open and close car doors
Request more time before you have to return the car (Sometimes it is possible, sometimes not).
- Browsing through your driving history
- Optional page view: Future reservations should show when your reservations is:
About to start
About to end
Has ended without you checking out(returning) the car.
- It shows when you have ‘checked in’ into an ongoing reservation
(Checking in makes opening&closing car doors possible).
- When you have an ongoing reservation there should be a button such as 'Report issue" or something like that for situations when you notice a scratch
or something else alarming in the condition of the car.
You don't need to create the actual view for making a car condition report, only the button for going there.
(This functionality is not in the old app.)
- Reservations/past uses paid with a private card are shown differently compared reservations/past uses paid with a company card.
