We need to refresh our logos for a new website & other promotional tools. Established in 1980 we are a membership organisation with a publishing background.
Our mission is to stimulate and support contemporary visual arts practice and affirm the value of artists in society. We have 18,500 members who are predominantly artists as well as art students and a wider network of visual arts professionals, cultural commentators, researchers, arts funders & policy makers. We provide knowledge, research & context for and about the visual arts, we provide space for conversations & interaction between artists, their peers & the wider visual arts and also provide a combination of benefits to support artists throughout their careers.
a-n used to stand for artist newsletter, now it doesn't stand anything. Alongside a-n is AIR (Artists Interaction & representation) which is a voice and campaigns for artists.

We need to be able to use the logos (a-n & AIR) together and apart - they need to look like they are in the same family.
We refer to ourselves as 'a-n The Artists Information Company'
We want the logo/brand to relate to the launch of our new website design (please see attached files)
We don't want to be too over the top, we need something simple, thoughtful, modern, belonging, clear, friendly, honest, down to earth. We are transparent & inclusive, we value partnerships & networking, we are continuously developing. We don't like things that are too tricksy or over designed
We have a dash when we write our logo in copy format so we would like to see how that can be used in the logo (a-n) or not
