Contest Brief

EDIT: Please only submit images that combine the ideas and imagery of a men's suit with the ideas and imagery of battle armor. This preference is reflected in my ratings. Also, please note that my selection with be heavily weighted toward quality image logo designs. Significantly less attention will be paid to the text as we are comfortable making our own vector text edits if your text submission doesn't meet our preferences exactly.

ArmourSuits(.com) will be a site to buy custom tailored (bespoke) suits online.

Armour Suits needs an image and text vector graphic logo that evokes the idea of both a men's suit and a suit of armor. FYI, "armour" is the spelling for "armor" in non-American English, and both have the same meaning.

STYLE
The style should be elegant, simple, memorable, and easily recognizable. We need complementary text and image logos for "Armour". The logo will be used on the web site, print media, packaging, and perhaps on complementary accessories like pens and cufflinks. I'd like to be able to embroider the text logo on the interior of the suit jacket itself, and we may also decide to include a patch with the image logo.

INSPIRATION
I have been experimenting with a Black, White, and Crimson/Maroon/Candy Apple colorset for site ideas. Metallic "armor" colors/patterns might also be interesting. If you have an ingenious burst of inspiration outside of these colors I might be persuaded, but I'm certainly leaning in this direction.

SPECIFICATIONS
Both the image and the text logo must be delivered as vector graphics editable in Adobe Illustrator.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Great ideas so far, everyone! I just had an idea that perhaps someone would like to work with. A vector graphic suit of armor holding a sword with the armor having peak lapels. The armor itself could be a simple silhouette of a suit of armor with some simple detailing. With a few striking helmet details this could be simple but very effective. I like the posture of this guy: http://www.madhattersfancydress.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/6/4/64556.jpg. Something similar to the Oscar statue with a few more armor details might also work nicely (he's holding a sword if you never noticed): http://www.oscars.org/awards/academyawards/about/awards/images/side_oscar.jpg
