Contest Brief

I am looking for a logo for my online blog/ministry Take & Seal (www.takeandseal.com/about) (website still in progress). The hex code of the shade of blue in the current website logo is #11335F.

The meaning behind Take & Seal is based on the hymn, "Come Thou Fount". One of the key lines reads, "Here's my heart, Lord, take and seal it / Seal it for thy courts above." The basic goal of the ministry is to teach believers of Jesus Christ proper doctrine, helping them understand what they believer, why they believe it, and to be able to articulate it to a lost and broken world.

I will need several versions of the logo (white on blue [#11335F], blue on white, logo on transparent background, logo that is better suited for a horizontal layout [i.e. a website navigation bar], and one that is better suited for a block layout [i.e. Facebook or Twitter profile picture]).

I would give more information, but I would rather not infringe on the creativity of you designers.

Please remember, a cross and/or heart is not a requirement. I like a few of these, but I am still looking for someone to provide something truly original. Nearly everything I have seen so far is quite derivative. Please continue to enter your best ideas.

  It is okay if they are in there, but the vast majority of entries are using them. I may end up picking one with a heart and/or cross, but I would like for someone to think creatively and try something totally different.

#39 - I like the concept... it's different. Can you try one without the shadow? And is that black or my shade of blue? Hard to tell. If it's not my shade of blue can you change it, please? Also, I'd much prefer Roboto for the font.

Please think outside the box and come up with something more unique. It seems like a lot of the entries so far are slight variations to logos I have seen many others use in the past. Also, I am looking for something with a much cleaner look, like my website. So please stay away from bubble letters, big illustrations, etc.

Some feedback so far: the logo does not need to be so overtly Christian (a cross is not necessary) and the heart is not a necessary component, either. Also, the font I am using on the site is Roboto.
