Contest Brief

This contest is for the design of our website [url removed, login to view] (money for your game).

We want a smooth, simple, clear, consistent and beautiful design. The fully functional website itself will be created later. This contest is only for a design template of the website, including the overall layout, navigation and elements such as buttons, forms and tables. Our detailed specification provides details of everything we want included. Everything should be made in maintainable and standards compliant HTML, CSS and Javascript, preferably based on the Bootstrap standard.

We already have a logo. It is also provided and it should be integrated in the design in a consistent way.

Our specs include four pages that contain all the design elements that we require. We have included some very basic mockups of the layout. We have also included a document with descriptions of our expectations and requirements.

The purpose of the website is to enable users to sell used videogames. Our target users are from the Netherlands. Our specs and mockups are in English but the site itself will be in Dutch.

It's OK if you want to start with the homepage design and wait for our comments before making additional pages or do further CSS and Javascript work.

Employer Feedback

“Imran (Tania06) delivered a great design, including HTML and CSS. He updated it several times during the contest handover period to make it absolutely perfect. We're happy with the work he has done and of course the end result. If you're looking for a great freelancer, this is the one!”

Hi. I corrected an error in the navigation pane. The last entry should contain "earn" instead of "send". Also I added 3 explanatory balloons which describe what is intended with the search box. Please use file "Mockup 2 - Explanatory.zip" instead of "Mockup.zip".
Furthermore I added "Packshots.zip" which contains product images of a Nintendo 64 game (landscape orientation) and a Playstation 3 game (portrait orientation). These are intended for the search result on the home page (step 3 of the search).

    Hi Dhonlineretail,
    Thanks for the invite.
I read the attachment and we will soon submit our design.
As far as I have understood initially when someone visits your site the visitor will only view the header, navigation, search bar and footer.
Please tell me if I am correct or if I am missing something.
To tell the truth I am a bit confused with the home page design
Once again, Thank You for giving us the opportunity

Hi Sourav, You're absolutely correct. Also the home page mockup displays three variants of the search box; search box default, search box while typing two or more characters and search box after choosing an option. Described in more detail in specs.docx.

Hi Nemesandras! Yes, the elements should be designed and placed in a working HTML/CSS template, which is part of this contest. We think that all HTML/CSS/Javascript work can be picked up from bootstrap (http://twitter.github.io/bootstrap/) or taken from any other complete standard. Our contest is about getting it all together in a beautiful design. So, seeing your previous great work on logo design I hope your up to this challenge as well.
